Gypsy Love Song
Someone sang a song of golden earrings
About a gypsy love of long ago
Someone wrote a poem of love
All het up 'bout lovin' stuff
I wrote a children's book 'cause the love of children grand
Nothing too great nor written long for one to stand
Someone may thunder and roar 'bout the snowy weather
I turn inward and smile loving the quiet 'tick' of the feather.
Someone takes a trip, a holiday of sorts
Hither and yon, catching as they can all the ports
I come back to the song of golden earrings
With gypsy love, as I remember, solace to me it brings.
