Moose Mountain Toastmasters #5455 Thursday, Mar 10
Moose Mountain Toastmasters #5455 had a meeting at the Carlyle Library from 12:00 to 1:00.
A Presenter's Choice was given about "Bullying" and a discussion followed the presentations.
A speech was given about the closing of long term and respite beds in small towns. It is not just the problem of one town. It seems as though there may be differences on why the beds have been closed and even who is to blame for closing the beds. Some feel the government is to blame and could quickly open them again while others feel health boards, as appointees of the government, are to blame. A short but lively discussion was followed by an adjournment of the meeting.
The next Toastmasters meeting will likely be Thursday, Mar 24th, the same time.
